The Academy of Liberal Education is a Registered Society established in the year 1967 with the sole objective of providing quality education in all branches including professional courses.

           Dr. Kurunji Venkatramana Gowda, popularly known as the "Architect of Modern Sullia" is the Founder President of the Academy. Dr.Sri Kurunji Venkatramana Gowda is a man of great vision and far sightedness and under his dynamic leadership, the Academy could establish 20 educational institutions in the rural area of Kurunjibag, Sullia. Due to his untiring and selfless efforts with a missionary zeal, all these institutions have earned a reputation of excellence. Without an iota of exaggeration, he can be proud as the pioneer in the field of education in Sullia. Considering his significant contributions in the field of education and laudable services rendered to society, he has been widely recognized by various organizations of National and International repute and they have honoured him with various prestigious awards.

             Today, the Academy has an array of educational institutions and organizations, the latest one being the K.V.G. Medical College, Sullia, sanction of which has been accorded by the Govt. of India on the recommendation of the Medical Council.
